Doodletron turns your child’s drawing into an animated video — with their voice telling the story behind it.

Available for iOS 17.6+

Kids draw purple horses with seven legs. They narrate entire universes while they scribble. Every drawing is already a complete idea.

Doodletron is built around three things that idea deserves.

01·The Worlds

See the world it grows into.

Pick a style — clay, toy bricks, pixel blocks, storybook — and watch the drawing become an illustrated version of that world. The drawing is the starting point. The style is the direction it grows.

02·The Motion

Then watch it come to life.

One tap and the illustrated drawing becomes a short animated video. The dragon spreads its wings. The spaceship blasts off. The silly monster wiggles and waves.

The moment your kid gasps and immediately says “do it again.”

03·Voice Memories · New

Record the story behind it.

Press record. Let them explain it in their own words.

Age 5 · Kept forever

The characters. The plot twists. The logic that only makes sense to a five-year-old. Saved alongside the drawing and its animation.

One day they’ll be seventeen and you’ll play this back — and remember exactly how their voice sounded at this age.

The Archive

A gallery they’ll want to visit at 25.

Every drawing, transformation, animation, and voice story is saved in a private gallery only you control — backed up to your iCloud. Not a camera roll. A living archive of a creative childhood.

The Promise

Built for parents, not data brokers.

  • Drawings are never stored on our servers

Our Story

Built by a son. Inspired by his mom.

Doodletron was created by David Idol, inspired by the creativity he grew up with at home. His mom, Cindy Lucas — an artist and art teacher — nurtured his love for drawing, while David discovered a passion for building things with technology.

After working on products at Microsoft, Snapchat, and Discord, David set out to combine art and technology in a way that helps kids feel confident creating. Doodletron is his way of passing that inspiration forward.
